Sputnik (Alan Grandy, Jeff Harmon, and Jay Bentoff) began performing together during the recording of Grandy’s 1997 solo cd release acrowno’stars.
I, Cosmonaut was Sputnik’s 2004 debut release, produced by the band and engineered by Bentoff at his Dark Tree Studios.
The song “Alienne” from I, Cosmonaut was chosen to be featured in FOX Network’s Wonderfalls. “Hello” was chosen for inclusion on Magnet Magazine and Paste Magazine CD samplers.
